This page is where members of SWS can tell the world a little bit about themselves, and shamelessly plug any websites that they run or just really like.
First against the metaphorical wall is the dashing, handsome and thoroughly all-round good egg Tim 'Megablitz' Gow.
Tim is a familiar face on the convention scene, running thoughtful, elegant and - more importantly - FUN games with fellow members of Wargames Developments.
Although Tim built his first plastic kit in about 1971 (an inevitable Airfix Spitfire IX), he can date his wargaming 'career' back to 1977 (aged 11) when in the company of his friends John and Lee Robertson, Tim played a simple game with the Airfix (20mm) tanks which they had accumulated.
Soon, a chance find of a couple of Don Featherstone books in the local library revealed that 'grown-ups' did this sort of thing too! Tim joined Wargame Developments in 1985 and has attended their annual Conference of Wargamers (COW) since 1990. He has also, together with Bob Cordery, been organising it for the past few years.
Tim's main interest has always been WW2, with a side order of various postwar conflicts. He has been known to also dabble in earlier periods. He has a particular interest in 'operational' level games.
If you attend a convention and Tim and company are running a game, join in - you won't regret it!
Tim was elected to the post of club Chairman in November 2012.
